Why Obama Can't Save Us: In the Thrall of AIPAC

advertisement

These are some of Obama's comments during a speech to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC):

"Our job is to rebuild the road to real peace and lasting security throughout the region, "Our job is to do more than lay out another road map."

"That effort begins with a clear and strong commitment to the security of Israel: Our strongest ally in the region and its only established democracy. "That will always be my starting point."

And calling for sustained military support to Israel, Obama said: "We must preserve our total commitment to our unique defense relationship with Israel by fully funding military assistance and continuing work on the Arrow and related missile defense programs."

For Barack Obama to say that "our job is to lay out another road map" for peace while we are providing military support to Israel as the country launches attacks on Palestinians is hypocrisy.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

An appeaser of class nationalism, Empire for Amerika, will also be an appeaser for Zionism, Israeli occupation, aggressions against the Middle East, as our own criminal policies in Iraq and against Iran, funded by none other than Obama, who also appeased the nuclear threats against Iran, based on the lies of the two class party system, servile to Corporate Fascism, and Imperial Empire.

Superficial diversity, used by the corporate media and Class Empire policies, will end up for Obama, like Colin Powell, completely discredited as the class thug, this time as the class, "house slave" for imperial policies. Real diversity means supporting real democratic "independent" diverse candidates, like Cynthia McKinney, who is for impeachment of war criminals both democrats and republicans, and is for ending imperial polcies promoted by class regimes, and its class mercenaries. She might be the Presidential candidate in the Green Party, who is an "independent" woman, unlike Hillary, and an "independent" minority candidate who breaks from the two class party and its corrupt imperial and corporate policies. I will vote for diversity on my terms, I will vote for Cynthia McKinney over Obama the class whore for AIPAC, who will appease both fascism, and zionism. Cynthia McKinney criticized Israeli policies, Zionism, and they went after her, unlike Obama who is only a mercenary.

Eric,

Another AIPAC cheerleader? There will never be peace in that region for exactly that reason. And let's not forget, from your other seed:

Another key Obama adviser, Dennis Ross. Ross, for many years under both Clinton and Bush 2, a key—he has advised Clinton and both Bushes. He oversaw US policy toward Israel/Palestine. He pushed the principle that the legal rights of the Palestinians, the rights recognized under international law, must be subordinated to the needs of the Israeli government—in other words, their desires, their desires to expand to do whatever they want in the Occupied Territories.

It's already in the bag with these guys...

Obama is a Republican ruse,[ he doesn't know it, though ]--an even those on The Vine who have exposed Repoblican tricks for years against Carter an against the laws of the American People....are blind to the newest trick ...."Sink Clinton ...she might win" An,she will likely, screw the DC Repoblican machine.

Obama is a long shot in November
....a social experiment.... in a high explosives lab, ....One wrong guess.....an you're dead. But they're [Repoblicans] desperate. An happy we choose Obama.
They have more faith in the racial divide than their high minded Liberal counterparts. An they have the Crossover Liberal Democrats for a New Middle East this time, in their corner.
Pulling Democratic numbers down, while adding to their own. Obama is their [REPUBLICANS] best chance at getting back in the saddle. That's why they're cheering.....Don't kid yourself.

I'm an avid Obama supporter, have been for over three years now. I think many of you miss the point about WHY Obama supporters support Obama. I have studied his policies in depth. While not all of them are exactly what I need, they are what America needs at this point in history. Of course, Obama opposers are going to continue to lay out the points above. But three years from now, with him in office, this country will start to feel like America again.
